Milk Runs

As the range and fuel efficiency of aircraft have improved the number of mulitple stop flights have decreased. However a few milk runs still exist. PIA International still hold the milk run close to their hearts.

Classics

If you fancy flying in classic 1980 vintage flying machines a couple of options are;

Iran Air - London Heathrow to Tehran often in a 747-200 

Hellenic Imperial Airways - New York JFK to Athens 747-200

 

Trijet

KLM is the remaining leading airline operating a trijet. KLM operate the great MD-11 trijet from Amsterdam to multiple destinations across the Americas and to India.

Check in was quick and easy, no queues at self check-in kiosks or bag drops. Time taken for check in less than five minutes.

Complimentary dinner with choice of two dishes served 1/2 hour into flight with wine, beer, juice or soft drink. Premium ice cream served mid flight; followed by coffee and tea service.

Touch screen entertainment system active and available before the completion of boarding. (Unfortunately the news channel was unavailable on this particular flight) Seats fitted with USB port, staff friendly and courteous.

Co - Pilot provided updates on departure and before arrival.
