Shop
We now have a Shop. It contains a list of curated maps in the 'natural' and 'art deco' design style, that chart a variety of routes, some short, some extremely long — all interesting. You might not know what route you want, so the shop is a nice way to explore the possibilities. As an added bonus we have added two important historical flights, the first Air France and British Airways commercial Concorde journey that both took off at the same time heading for Washington D.C. in 1974. Their flight paths have been painstaking reconstructed based on actual flight data obtained from the Smithsonian archive. We are working on adding a whole host of other historical flights to the Shop.

Stop-overs
Airline Atlas now supports stop-overs. This allows you string multiple flights together, creating those LHR-SIN-SYD flights that so many people take (soon to be replaced with a direct service). Or perhaps the Alaskan milk run from SEA-ANC with stops along the way, or the United Airlines island hopping service connecting HNL with GUM. The new addition has certain limitations, is still creates a map with your departure airport at the top and final destination at the bottom. If your route takes you east, then west, then up north it won't work.

Art Deco
We have added a new map style. You can now choose between Modern and Art Deco. Modern shows the detailed topography and bathymetry (ocean floor depth) while Art Deco is a style inspired by airline posters from the 1930s and provides a simplified poster-style map of your route in two different colour themes: a orange/teal (Imperial Airways inspired) and a blue theme (All Nippon Airways inspired).

New airplanes, more logos, better short-haul
We have added the Mitsubishi CRJ series, the De Havilland Canada Dash 8 series to the aircraft library. These sit alongside a whole bunch of new and updated airline logos: Iberia (new logo), Nouvelair, Drukair (Bhutan), Eurowings, Air India (new logo), Norwegian and finally Binter Canaries and its arch-rival CanaryFly.
The random route look-up is now much faster than before. We have also updated (and this is the big news) the way shorter routes appear, now correctly aligned. We like to celebrate the truly amazing super-long haul adventures, SIN-JFK, AKL-DOH but the shorter ones like AAL-CPH, LPA-SPC are pretty special too and now we've made them look even better.

Podcast + new airline logos
Nice mention of Airline Atlas on the latest episode of Avtalk, Flight Radar 24's podcast. Thanks Ian and Jason. New airline icons have been added for Etihad, Allegiant, Hainan Airlines, airBaltic, Norse Atlantic Airways, Ita Airways (Replacing the vintage logo for Alitalia), SalamAir, Skymark Airlines, updated logo for Saudia and Icelandair and a logo for Wizzair.

Improved print consistency
We've completely overhauled the print workflow, this should result in slightly better consistency between preview and actual print. Changes have also been made to the interface. You can find a way to import your route as KML file under options. Here you can also add a personal note to your map and export your map as an image.

Add to cart
We have added a rather big, mostly behind the scenes update. You can now add multiple maps to your cart, with different themes, sizes and paper types and order them in one go.

Mobile improvements
We have improved how Airline Atlas works on mobile. You can now zoom (using gestures) into each of the maps that you make, pan around, helping you explore the details that each map has.

Worldwide
We now ship worldwide, from Albania to Zambia. You can also now order multiple copies of the same map. We've also added the Air New Zealand and Southwest Airlines logo.
21 August 2026
Extended date range
We have extended the date range, you can now look up flights going back two years, vastly increasing the availability of flights. We are working on adding a bigger archive going back further.

City names, new aircraft, updated logos
We have updated a whole range of city names so it says the actual big city that the airport is associated with, not the small city the airport might be in. Aircraft outlines have been added for the A340-300, A340-200, Comac C919, Airbus A220-100 and the Airbus A220-300. We've also started the process of adding up to date logos for some of the bigger airlines, most notably American Airlines and United Airlines.
17 August 2026
Note option
We have added a way to add a personal note to your map as way to further personalised your Airline Atlas map. The note will appear below the aircraft type along the other information about your journey.
10 August 2026
New styles
We have added a few new themes, total is now seven: Natural (a neutral earth/traditional map style), TWA (based on an old TWA map), Desert (Deep yellows/browns), Noir (Dark and hadowdy), Virgin (Inspired by Virgin's brand colours), Light (Light tones, subtle) and Big Blue (All blues). Other amends have been made to a number of airlines and we added the Comac C919 aircraft type.

Revised design
We have overhauled the design slightly, a little more refined and now presents better search results when there's multiple airline flying on the same route. Various bits of copy has also been improved throughout to make it clearer how everything works. There is now a little trailer for the project playing until your map has loaded.

Improved airport icons
The miniature airport icons that appear next to the airport name have been tweaked, so closely positioned parallel runways don't seem to overlap or merge together.
